Mumbai, Jul 7 : The Rupee on Wednesday remained weak as it fell by seven paise to close negative at 74.61 against the USD on rising demand for the US Dollar by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.
The domestic unit that slipped by 14 paise to 74.68 in opening trade, slightly improved and settled at 74.61, sliding by seven paise as compared to its previous close.
The Rupee went remained under pressure owing to firm dollar against other world currencies amid rebounding equity market, the dealer said.
The local unit registered days high and low at 74.71 and 74.59 respectively.(UNI)
