Hyderabad, Jul 6 : Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana during the next five days, Meteorological Centre said on Tuesday.

In a bulletin here, it said that heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana on July 7, 8, and 9.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at many places or at isolated places or at few places in the state during the next five days.

Southwest Monsoon has been weak over Telangana.

Heavy rain occurred at isolated places in the Jogulamba Gadwal district of the state during the last 24 hours.

Rain occurred at isolated places in Telangana during the same period.

Meanwhile, in a special bulletin, Met said a North-South trough runs from North Interior Karnataka to south interior Tamil Nadu across South Interior Karnataka and extends up to 0.9 km above mean sea level.

Mainly low-level Westerlies will prevail over the state, the bulletin added. (UNI)
