Hyderabad, Jul 5 : Degree and Engineering students on Today held a dharna in front of the residence of Telangana Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy in Srinagar Colony here demanding postponement of their exams.

Earlier, the students conducted a rally from Satyasai Nigamagamam to the Minister’s house.

Speaking on the occasion, the students said the age of all the students’ was between 18-25. Their vaccination process is not completed. Hence the examinations should be conducted after the completion of vaccine process to all the students.

The Minister, who came out, spoke with a few students and said that the decision had already been taken by the government in this regard. In view of this, it is not possible to postpone the examinations, she added.

However, the examination centre will be allocated as per their desired location, Ms Sabitha said.

Even though the Minister had left the house, the students sat on the road and demanded the postponement of examinations.

Meanwhile, police intervened and took the students into custody.(UNI)
