K’taka: AFTC, VTU sign MoU to offer M Tech jointly in Aeronautical Engineering
Belagavi, Jul 3: Vishveswarayya Technological University (VTU) and Air Force Technical College (AFTC) Today signed a memorandum of understanding ( MOU) to offer M.Tech program jointly in Aeronautical Engineering.
In a statement, the leaders of both of the institutions have expressed that this would be a major step to leverage the skills and Research endeavors of both organizations.
AFTC and VTU have reached a new milestone on 01 July this year by signing a MoU. The Air force team headed by Air Commodore Biji Philip, the Commandant of AFTC commended the phenomenal strides of VTU in technical education, the statement said.
He signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with VTU Vice-Chancellor Dr Karisidappa, for the award of M.Tech degree to all the Air Force graduating officers.
The ceremonial function was hosted by Dr. Karisiddappa, the Vice-Chancellor of VTU. The degree will be awarded in Aeronautical Engineering with six different specializations. The course will follow all the AICTE and VTU norms. The vice-chancellor and the Commandant expressed happiness on the historical moment and stated that this is a great step forward towards technology impetus in the IAF.
The VTU Vice-Chancellor Prof Karisiddappa expressed confidence that the partnership will leverage skills n the research endeavors of both the institutions, the statement further added. (UNI)
