Thane, Jul 1 : With 534 new COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours, Thane district’s cumulative disease tally has surged to 5,32,533 an official confirmed Today.

The past 24 hours also saw 20 more fatalities due to the dreaded virus, taking the district’s overall death count to 10,699.

The mortality rate currently stands at 2.00 per cent, the official added.

In the neighbouring Palghar district, the COVID-19 case count has gone up to 1,16,706 while the death toll is 2,575 he said.(UNI)
