COVID-19 : Karnataka reports 2576 fresh cases, 93 deaths
Bengaluru, Jun 28: Karnataka has reported 2576 fresh cases of the COVID-19 during the past 24-hours
taking the total number of people infected from the pandemic so far to 28,37,206 on Monday.
According to official sources, as many as 93 persons had succumbed to the pandemic during the past 24-hours,
taking the total number of fatalities due to the COVID-19 disease so far in the state to 34,836.
The sources said that while as many as 5,933 COVID-19 patients got discharged from various hospitals on Monday after being cured of the disease, there are still 97,592 active cases across the state.
During the past 24-hours, as many as 133,917 persons had undergone COVID-19 tests, the positivity rate
for the day stood at 1.92 per cent and the case fatality rate accounted for 3.61 percent, the sources said.
Among the total number of deaths, Bengaluru Urban district accounted for 18 cases followed by 14 from Dakshina Kannada district during the
past 24-hours, the sources added.(UNI)
