Chennai, June 29 :Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu arrived here today on a four-day visit to Tamil Nadu.

Mr Naidu arrived here by a special IAF aircraft from Visakhapatnam at 1030 hrs.

He was received at the airport by Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Chief Minister M K Stalin, Water Resources Minister Duraimurugan, DMK Parliamentary party leader T R Baalu, senior state government
officials and others.

After the brief reception at the old airport, Mr Naidu drove down to Raj Bhavan.

During his visit, Mr Naidu is expected to participate in an event at IIT-Madras and a few other events.

Mr Naidu will leave for Hyderabad on July two morning. Security has been tightened in view of the Vice-President’s visit.(UNI)
