Nanded, Jun 27 :Lambasting the statements like “I will not do anything for Maharashtra unless I come to power … I will do everything if I get power … I will not do anything for the people of Maharashtra till I come to power,” the NCP State President and Water Resources Minister Jayant Patil criticized the leader of opposition Devendra Fadnavis, today.

When asked about that statement Fadnavis “Give us power, we will give reservation to the OBC community in three months” Patil criticized him. Patil reminded that no leader in the state has made such a statement and said that BJP does not need to come to power because the people of the state have rejected them.

The compassion that the BJP has for the OBC community is well known where Chhagan Bhujbal had to stay in jail and the OBC leader like Eknath Khadse was expelled from the party, Patil criticized. Patil also made a serious allegation that the work was done to end the movement of the OBC community.

When asked about the action taken by the ED against the former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, Patil also directly accused the BJP of intimidating people working in public life by taking something from the arrested person.

Jayant Patil also made a serious statement that if the agencies of the central government are doing the work of intimidation, then the work of undermining democracy has started.

Minister Patil alleged that the quality of work done in the JalYukt Shivar Yojana was poor hence no result was forthcoming despite a large amount of money was spent on it.The demand for an inquiry into the Yojana was made a quarter of a year and half ago and now its inquiry should be started.

Quoting the statement of Fadnavis about storing 72 TMC of water in the Yojana as false Patil said that this large quantity of water could be stored in a dam.Hence, the people are not satisfied with this work, he added.(UNI)
