Hyderabad, Jun 23 : Telangana reported 1,114 fresh Coronavirus cases until 1730 hours Today, taking infection tally to 6,16,688 in the state.

After 12 patients died of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours the total toll due to COVID-19 stands at 3,598 till date translating a case fatality rate of 0.58 per cent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.3 per cent, according to the bulletin issued by the Office of the Director, Public Health and Family Welfare here.

As many as 1280 people have recovered from coronavirus statewide in the past 24 hours, pushing the total number of recoveries to 5,96,628 constituting a recovery rate of 96.74 per cent while the national recovery rate was 96.52 per cent.

Currently, the number of active cases in the state stands at 16,462, the bulletin said.

In all, 1,18,109 samples were tested on Wednesday in the state to detect the contagious virus out of which the results of 1,113 swab samples are awaited.

Cumulatively, more than 1,78,88,192 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.(UNI)
