Hyderabad, Jun 14:Telangana recorded 1511 new cases of Covid-19 and 12 deaths Today.
The total count of cases since the beginning of the pandemic last year, stands at 6,04,880 cases and death toll stands at 3,496, state Medical department said in its bulletin here.
There are 20,461 active cases in Telangana currently while the number of active containment zones in the state increased from around 100 a fortnight back to 318 Today.
Of these, the highest number of 111 zones are in Nalgonda, 11 in Hyderabad, 59 in Mahabubabad and 29 in Jagtial.
A total of 2,175 patients were declared cured of COVID on Monday, taking the total count of recovered patients to 5,80,923.
The case fatality rate (CFR) stands at 0.57 percent against the national average of 1.3 percent while the recovery rate was improved to 96.03 percent.
On Monday, 1,10,681 samples were tested for the novel coronavirus and the state has now completed testing over 1.68 crore samples and has reached 4.52 lakh samples testing per million population, the bulletin said.
Out of total new coronavirus cases recorded in 33 districts in the state on Monday, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 173 cases while neighbouring Medchal Malkajgiri recorded 83 cases, Rangareddy recorded 66 and Sangareddy 18 cases.
The state government had earlier extended the ongoing lockdown in the state till June 19.(UNI)
