Bengaluru, Jun 10 : Karnataka has reported 11042 fresh cases of the COVID-19 disease in the last 24-hour, taking the total number of people infected with the virus to 2739290 Today.

According to official sources, as many as 194 people had succumbed to the pandemic disease in the

last 24 hours, pushing the total number of fatalities in the state to 32485.

The sources said that the Bengaluru urban district had reported 47 fresh cases of deaths, followed by

18 in Mysuru, 12 in Belagavi, 10 in Hassana, 8 each in Bengaluru Rural and Shivamogga district in the last 24-hour.

The sources said that while as many as 15721 COVID-19 patients got discharged after being completely cured from the disease, there are 210652 active cases across the state.

In the last 24-hour, as many as 167731 people had undergone the COVID-19 tests and the positivity rate for the day accounted for 6.58 per cent and the case fatality rate at 1.75 per cent, the sources added.(UNI)
