Puducherry, Jun 11 : Former Pudcuherry legislator A Arulraj passes away in the early hours Today due to age-related illness.

Mr.Arulraj(95) was a member of the first legislative assembly in the union territory after winning the Muthialpet seat in the congress party ticket.He was living with his son at Krishnagiri in Tamilnadu and the end came at 2 am today.

His body is being brought to Puducherry and will be buried at the Muthialpet cemetery at 7 AM tomorrow. Arulraj, a freedom fighter and who held several posts in the congress party here is the elder brother of former minister A. Gandhiraj.(UNI)
