Mumbai, Jun 9 : Maharashtra on Wednesday reported 10,989 fresh cases of COVID-19, taking the state’s cumulative case tally to 58,63,880, as per the health bulletin of the state government.

The past 24 hours also saw 261 patients succumbing to the virus, pushing the state’s death toll to 1,01,833.

Meanwhile, 16,379 patients, who were cured of the virus, were discharged during the past 24 hours, taking the number of recoveries across the state to 55,97,833.

The state’s recovery rate shoots up to the 95.45 per cent while fatality rate slightly increased to 1.74 percent.

Presently, the state has 1,61,864 active cases under treatment across the state, added the bulletin.(UNI)
