Thane, Jun 1 : A man today attempted suicide in front of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation headquarters building.
The security guards and the police there rushed in and saved him the officials at the corporation said.

It was in the morning Yogesh Chavan, employed in the conservancy department had some issues and had made several representations to the higher ups in the corporation but of no no avail.

Hence fed up over the indifferent attitude of the officials today arrived at the civic headquarters with a can of flammable material and doused himself in it and was about to set himself on fire but those security guards present acted swiftly and pinned him down.

Later he was taken to the civic headquarters building it was stated.

The video showing the man attempting suicide and being taken away has gone viral on social media.
There is no no complaint with the local police so far the police said.(UNI)
