Modi govt failed on all levels, should resign: Mah Cong
Mumbai, May 30 : Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole Today demanded that PM Narendra Modi should resign as he did not have the moral right to stay in power.
To protest against the seven-year rule of the Modi government, the Congress today staged demonstrations at the district and taluka level across the state.
Mr Patole, Mumbai Congress President Bhai Jagtap, Pradesh Congress Working President Chandrakant Handore, Naseem Khan, Mumbai Congress Working President Charan Singh Sapra, Pradesh Congress Spokesperson Dr Sanjay Lakhe Patil took part in the protest.
Talking to media persons later, Mr Patole said, “Modi came to power in the 2014 elections by showing false dreams to the people but in seven years the government has failed at all levels.”
He further said, “The Modi government has failed miserably in handling the situation in Corona. Inflation has made it difficult for people to survive. Petrol, diesel, LPG, edible oil have gone beyond the reach of the common man.
“Unemployment has risen tremendously. The economy is in turmoil. In the pandemic, the Modi government was very irresponsible. Millions died of lack of oxygen and medicine,” he added.
He continued, “If the vaccine had been planned in January 2021, people would not have had to queue for the vaccine today, but considering the population of 130 crore, the demand for the vaccine has not increased. A country like Pakistan got free vaccines but Indians have been left in the lurch.”(UNI)
