Lucknow, May 28 : Uttar Pradesh sugarcane department is conducting sanitization in all the sugarcane regions of the state in a big way during the second wave of Covid19.

State Commissioner, Cane and Sugar Sanjay R. Bhoosreddy has given instructions for conducting sanitization with the help of sugar mills located in all the Nine Sugarcane regions in all the nearest public offices, collectorate, SSP office, CO office and police station, District Hospital, CHC, PHC, Tehsil, District cane officer’s office, deputy cane commissioner’s office and nearest Cane Society, villages, towns, blocks etc.

While giving detailed information, Mr Bhoosreddy said here on Friday that for the prevention of corona virus, continuous spraying of sanitizer is being done in the Cane regions and farmers are also being awared about the prevention of corona virus. This work is being done continuously in all the sugar mill areas of the state so that people remain safe.

He said in collaboration with Sugar Mills, the Cane Development Department have sanitized 585 villages, 128 towns, and 393 public offices in Saharanpur zone, 194 villages, 18 towns, 139 public offices in Meerut zone, 224 villages, 20 towns, 358 public offices in Moradabad, 152 villages, 10 towns, 109 public offices in Bareilly, 143 villages, 41 towns, 511 public offices in Lucknow, 136 villages, 58 towns, 208 public offices in Devipatan, 21 villages, 08 towns, 36 public offices in Ayodhya, 25 villages, 05 towns, 66 public offices in Gorakhpur and 135 villages, 55 towns, 168 public offices in Deoria zone are made sanitized.

Thus sanitization of 4,952 villages, 527 towns and 4,489 public offices has been done by the Sugarcane Development Department so far and still work is going on in this direction which will definitely help in preventing the corona epidemic

The Cane Commissioner also informed that during the above process, social and physical distancing were maintained between the employees of cane department and sugar mill workers engaged in sanitization work.
During all this sanitization work in respect of Covid-19, the guidelines, issued from time to time by the Headquarters and Health Department, were followed . The work done by the Department of Cane Development at the time of the Corona epidemic is being appreciated by the people of the villages and towns sanitized in all the Cane regions.(UNI)
