Thane, May 28 :The district registered 822 new covid cases and 52 deaths in last 24 hours, the authorities said Today.
With this, the total number of cases has spiked to 5,13,548 and fatalities has reached to 9,061.
The mortality rate was 1.76 per cent, he added.
In neighbouring Palghar district, the COVID-19 case count has gone up to 1,08,610 while the death toll was 2,013 he said.(UNI)
