Srinagar, May 26 : A minor boy dies Today. after he slipped and fell from a mountain in the border town of Uri in north Kashmir district of Baramulla.

Official sources said that a minor boy, identified as Arafat Hussain, had gone to graze his cattle in the forest area in Uri Today. “The boy slipped and fell from the mountain into a gorge,” they said.

They said a search operation was launched and the boy was found in a critical condition at the bottom of the gorge. “The minor was immediately taken to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead,” they said.

They said after completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites. “Police has registered a case and initiated investigation into the incident,” they added.(UNI)
