COVID: J&K reports 3,848 new +ve cases, 43 deaths
Jammu, May 21 : Jammu and Kashmir Government Today informed that 3,848 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (1442 from Jammu division and 2406 from Kashmir division), have been reported thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 263905.
Also 43 deaths have been reported, 27 from Jammu Division and 16 from Kashmir Division.
Moreover, 4466 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 1730 from Jammu Division and 2736 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), out of 263905 positive cases, 49893 are Active Positive, 210547 have recovered and 3465have died; 1639in Jammu division and 1826 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 8140036test results available, 7876131 samples have been tested as negative till May 21.
Till date 2008800 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 74479 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 49893 in isolation and 132220in home surveillance.
Besides, 1748743 persons have completed their surveillance period.(UNI)
