Thane, May 21 : The city police have launched a manhunt for four persons including two women for the murder of a man in Mafatlal Slum Colony of Kalwa shortly before midnight on Thursday, the police said Today.

The Police SHO at the Kalwa police station said that an offence under section 302 of the IPC has been registered with the Kalwa police against the unidentified accused who are at large. Three teams have been formed to trace them the police said.

The police said that the foursome including two women were chit chatting in the colony at around 11.30 p.m.on Thursday night to which the victim objected and asked them to move away. Upon this one of them got annoyed and wiped out a knife and stabbed him fatally the police said.

The police gave the name of the victim as Sunil Sonawane, 27 and added that his body has been sent for a postmortem to the government hospital here.

The local Kalwa police are probing into the crime, the police added.(UNI)
