Hyderabad, May 20 : Telangana on Thursday recorded 3,660 new cases of Covid-19 and 23 deaths.
There was a further reduction in the number of active cases to 45,757.
With this, the total count of cases now stands at 5,44,263 and the death toll at 3,066, the State Medical and Health department said in its bulletin here.
A total of 4,826 patients were declared recovered Today taking the total count of recovered patients to 4,95,446.
The case fatality rate (CFR) stands at 0.56 per cent against 1.1 percent of national average while the recovery rate has improved to 91.03 percent against the previous recovery data.
The state now has 97 active micro containment zones in 14 districts out of 33 districts in the state and of which, 14 each in Siddipet and Warangal Rural, 12 each in Jogulamba Gadwal and Warangal Urban while 11 in Hyderabad.
On Thursday, 69,252 samples were tested with Telangana now having completed 1.43 crore tests and reaching 3.85 lakh sample testing per million population, the bulletin said.
Out of 3660 new cases reported today from 33 districts in the state, highest number of 574 cases were reported from Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) followed by Rangareddy (247), Medchal Malkajgiri ( 218), Khammam (217) , Nalgonda (166), Karimnagar (147), Warangal Urban (131),Mahaboobnagar (128) and Bhadradri Kothagudem (121) among other districts.(UNI)
