Kakinada, May 20 : For the first time, Covid isolation centre was opened at the village level at G Ragampet village of Peddapuram Mandal Today to help covid patients who could not have facility for home isolation.
Joint Collector Revenue wing Dr G Lakshmisha while inaugurating the isolation centre at the Mandal Parishad primary school said it would be very much helpful for the covid patients who did not have isolation facility at their residences.
The covid patients can avail the 14-days quarantine facility staying at the centre and come out safe. It will be ideal if such isolation centres were arranged in each and every village.
It will reduce pressure on the covid care centres and covid hospitals all over the district’ he added.
Additional DMHO Dr Saritha, district panchayat officer Nageswera Naik, RDO Mallibabu, Tahasildar Sridevi were among those who attended.(UNI)
