COVID: J&K reports highest 73 deaths in last 24 hrs, fresh 3344 +ve cases
Jammu, May 17 :Jammu and Kashmir Government today informed that 3344 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (1418 from Jammu division and 1926 from Kashmir division), have been reported thus taking the total number of positive cases to 247952.
Also highest 73 deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours (54 from Jammu Division and 19 from Kashmir Division).
Moreover, 4042 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 1082 from Jammu Division and 2960 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), out of 247952 positive cases, 50852 are Active Positive, 193878 have recovered and 3222have died; 1493 in Jammu division and 1729 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 7955865test results available, 7707913 samples have been tested as negative till May 17.
Till date 1974299 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 75986 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 50852 in isolation and 121015in home surveillance.
Besides, 1723224 persons have completed their surveillance period.(UNI)
