Jalandhar, May 12 :Two women were killed and two others sustained serious injuries when their two-wheeler struck against a stationary truck loaded with bread stocks near Suchi Pind on Jalandhar-Pathankot highway, 5 kilometers away from here today evening.
The dead women have been identified as Jyoti (28) and her niece Ashnoor (8). The injured included the five-year-old daughter of Jyoti and her friend Saroj. Both have been admitted in a private hospital where the condition of Jyoti’s daughter is stated to be critical. All were riding on a single two wheeler and were on their residence at PAP complex.
Cause of the accident is said to be over speeding which struck against the stationary truck after Jyoti lost the control over the vehicle.(UNI)
