Female leopard trapped in Nashik
Nashik, May 11 : A female leopard that had strayed into Branmanwade village in Niphad taluka of the district was trapped in the cage early today.
The leopard was moving in the fields, creating terror among the villagers.
The villagers then complained to the Forest department and demanded to catch the leopard.
On May 4, the Forest officials set up a cage in the field of one Sampatgiri Gosavi and the villagers saw the leopard trapped in it early this morning. The female leopard is about three to four years old, it was stated.
The big cat was brought to the Forest department’s nursery at Niphad, where it was examined by the veterinary doctor.(uni)
