Lucknow, May 10: Senior Urdu journalist and group editor of Awadhnama media group Waqar Rizvi succumbed to COVID-19 here today.

He was around 64.

Family members said Mr Rizvi was admitted in the Era Medical College hospital for the past one month.

He is survived by two children and his wife.

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav has condoled the death of Waqar Rizvi. Several senior journalists and politicians too have expressed their grief on the demise of Waqar Rizvi.(UNI)
