Kalaburagi, May 9 :Former Karnataka Minister and Rajya Sabha member K B Shanappa, passed away at District General Hospital on Sunday. He was 82.
Shanappa was tested COVID-19 positive and was also suffering with respiratory problems.
The former Minister had led many labour agitations and was twice elected as MLA on communist party ticket from Shahabad reserved seat. He was Minister for Excise in the late J H Patil Cabinet. After joining BJP he was elected as Rajya Sabha member From 2006- 2012
Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and JD (S) Leader H D Kumaraswamy and many others have condoled his death.(UNI)
