Jalna, May 8 :As many as 584 new cases were detected, while nine patients succumbed to the COVID-19 here on Saturday , stated district Civil Surgeon said.
With the new additions, the total caseload has now surged to 52,169 while the death toll mounted to 849.
He further said that 640 people were cured and discharged today, taking the count of recovered cases to 44,675.
Presently, there are 6645 active cases. The recovery rates stands to 85.64 per cent and the fatality rate at 1.63 per cent, he added.(UNI)
