Kakinada, May 3 : Asha workers under the aegis of their CITU led district union have staged dharna in front of the office of the district medical health officer here on Monday , demanding the government to come to the rescue of the family of Asha worker Sujata who died of Covid in Jagannadhapuram two days ago.

They demanded granting of Rs.50 lakhs as ex=gratia relief to the family of the deceased Asha worker.

The demonstrators further asked the authorities to supply Masks and gouses to the Asha workers to protect them from the pandemic .

Union leader Virababu and Varalakshmi have led the dharna.(UNI)
