Somesh Kumar visits urban PHC to see functioning of COVID OP services
Hyderabad, May 6 : Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar on Thursday visited Boggulakunta Urban Primary Health Centre (PHC) to see the functioning of COVID outpatient (OP) services which were started in all the Government Hospitals, Sub Centres and PHCs across the state.
He went through the PHC and enquired about the arrangements made for COVID OP services.
Doctors informed that regular services are being provided in the PHC while COVID OP services in a community hall located nearby.
This is being done to avoid crowding.
The Chief Secretary stressed the need to focus on the treatment of all patients by providing medical kits to all those who have Coronavirus symptoms and not to wait for test reports.
If the fever persists for more than four days then the patients should be administered steroids by which we can save people from breathlessness and hospital beds, he observed.
Health Secretary S.A.M.Rizvi, GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar, Zonal Commissioner Pravinya, Director Public Health Srinivas Rao and other senior officials were present.(UNI)
