Jalna, May 5 : As many as eight patients succumbed to the COVID-19 while 828 new cases were detected here on Wednesday, stated district Civil Surgeon.
With the new additions, the total caseload has now surged to 49,989 while the death toll mounted to 824.
He further said that 645 people were cured and discharged today, taking the count of recovered cases to 42,376.
Presently, there are 6789 active cases. The recovery rates stands to 84.77 per cent and the fatality rate at 1.65 per cent, he added.(UNI)
