Anantnag, May 5 : Jammu and Kashmir police busted a notorious gang of thieves and arrested six accused besides recovered stolen property worth lakhs of rupees in this south Kashmir district, a police spokesman said today.

He said reports were received about a gang of thieves operating in different parts of the district.
A special team was constituted and massive hunt launched to nab the group. He said district police arrested six notorious thieves and recovered stolen property worth lakhs of rupees, including a car, a scooty, gas cylinders and other goods.
A case FIR has been registered and further investigation taken up.(UNI)
