Telangana records 7,754 fresh COVID-19 cases, 51 fatalities until Friday night
Hyderabad, May 1 :Continuing the surge in Coronavirus cases, Telangana recorded 7,754 COVID-19 cases until 2000 hours on Friday taking the total caseload to 4,43,360 so far.
The state suffered 51 COVID-19 deaths afresh to take the total death toll to 2,312 translating a case fatality rate of 0.52 per cent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.1 per cent, according to a state health department bulletin here today.
As many as 6,542 people have recovered from Coronavirus statewide in a span of 24 hours pushing the overall recoveries so far to 3,62,160 constituting a recovery rate of 81.68 per cent while the National average was 81.8 per cent.
The active cases in the state currently stands at 78,888, the bulletin said
In a span of 24 hours, 77,930 swab samples have been tested in the state to detect the contagious virus and out of which the reports of 5,186 swab samples were awaited.
Cumulatively, more than 1.29 crore COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state so far since the outbreak of the Coronovairus pandemic.(UNI)
