Agriculture assistant among 2 in ACB net in Aurangabad
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, April 27 :Two people, including an Agriculture assistant, attached with Gangapur Taluka Agriculture office, were arrested by Anti-Corruption Bureau while accepting a bribe of Rs 1.45 lakh from a complainant today.
The alleged accused, Ravindra Vadekar, had sought Rs 1.45 lakh as bribe from the complainant for sanctioning grant for his custard apple orchard at Islamepur village in Gagapur taluka under the state government’s scheme, said sources in ACB.
Reluctant to pay the bribe, the complainant lodged a complaint with city unit of ACB, whose team today laid a trap opposite Hotel Rajputana on Dhule-Solapur highway and caught red-handed a private person Kishor Kandekar while accepting the bribe money on behalf of the Agriculture assistant from the complainant.
After that, the team also arrested Vadekar.
A case under sections of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act has been registered with Daulatabad police station against the duo, sources added.(UNI)
