Sangli, April 25 : Heavy unseasonal rainfall, accompanied with thunder, strong wind and lightning, lashed on Sunday evening in different parts of the district, which besides bringing respite to the people from summer heat claimed the life of a woman.
Heavy rainfall lashed Ajara, Gadhinglaj and Jat tehsils of the district this evening, bringing some relief from scorching heat as the mercury slipped a few notches down.
In Jat tehsil town, a woman, Tulsabai Yashwant Domble (45), was killed on the spot after being struck by lightning while working on her farm, police said.(UNI)
