Relay hunger strike at all Districts across state from tomorrow over job notification :Sharmila
Hyderabad, April 18 : Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy’s daughter Sharmila called off her 72-hours hunger strike here on Sunday.
Demanding the state government to release job notification for filling up 1.91 lakh vacancies in various government departments in the state, the 47-year-old Sharmila, sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, launched her fast on April 15 from Dharna Chowk near Indira Park in the city but later shifted her fast to her residence , Lotus Pond here.
After concluding her fast and core committee meeting, she said that our party functionaries will continue the struggle at all district headquarters across the state from tomorrow to bring pressure on the government over job notification.
Forty lakh people are waiting for government jobs and disappointed youth are committing suicides, she asked the youth not to take any extreme step as our party would come to power in next years in the state and fill all vacancies even in private sectors.
We won’t keep quiet over this unemployed youth issue and will continue the struggle till elimination of unemployment in the state, she assured.
In her recent public meeting, Sharmila announced to launch a new political party in Telangana on July 8, the birth anniversary of Dr YSR , in Telangana, to bring ‘Rajanna Rajyam ‘ (pro-poor and welfare regime) in the state.
On the same day it would also be announced the party flag besides the agenda of the new party, she added.(UNI)
