BJP MP Dr. Karad takes jibe at NCP’s Malik

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, April 18: BJP senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Dr Bhagwat Karad on Sunday took a jibe at NCP national spokesperson and Maharashtra Minority Minister Nawab Malik and advised him to refrain from making absurd statements on the issue of Remdesivir injection.

In a press statement, he said that Mr Malik had on Saturday accused the Centre of not supplying enough doses of Remdesivir to Maharashtra but on the contrary, the central government was helping the state at all levels, he claimed.

The Centre is at the forefront in helping in oxygen production, oxygen transport, oxygen supply, ventilators and all kinds of medicines to Maharashtra, Dr Karad further claimed.

Despite this, Mr Malik was making some absurd statements to cover-up the failure of the Maharashtra government, he said and asked the minister to gather complete information before making any such statements.

With more than 60,000 patients are being found every day in Maharashtra, the state government had failed to control the coronavirus, he charged.

Due to lack of coordination between the state government and the administration, at least 60 per cent of Covid patients were from Maharashtra, the BJP MP claimed.

In fact, in a meeting of the central committee held in New Delhi on Saturday, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan gave an assurance to Maharashtra of supplying additional oxygen and ventilators on priority, also, price of Remdesivir has been reduced, he said.

Dr Karad targeted the state government for coming out with new guidelines regarding lockdown, saying the state government’s hasty decisions have adversely affected the common man.(UNI)
