Kakinada, April 15:  As many as 25 passengers travelling in a private bus sustained minor injuries when it hit a divider in a bid to avoid collision with a lorry that dashed the container on the National Highway near Diwancheruvu on the outskirts of Rajahmundry city in the early hours of Thursday.

The bus was en route to Vijayawada from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.

The lorry driver who was caught in the cabin was rescued by the villagers.

The injured passengers were rushed to the government hospital in Rajahmundry for administering first aid, police said.

A case has been registered and investigation is underway, police added. (UNI)
