Puducherry, April 12: As many as 7,172 persons were given Coronavirus vaccine on the inaugural day of “Tika Utsav’ here on Sunday, Health Secretary T Arun said.

In a release here on Sunday night, Mr. Arun said 6,212 people taken vaccines in the Puducherry region, 765 in the Karaikal region, 86 in the Mahe region, and 109 in the Yanam region.

There were no complaints of any side effects from those who took the vaccine, he said.

All those above 45 years of age must utilize this opportunity, he said, adding that the COVID Vaccine will be given from 8 AM to 8 PM.

This will ensure self-protection as well as the protection of their family and country, he added. (UNI)
