Chennai, April 12: Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit on Monday extended his Ugadi greetings to the
people of the State.
”On the auspicious occasion of Ugadi, Gudi Padava and Cheti Chand, I extend my best wishes and heartiest
greetings to the Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, and Sindhi speaking people in Tamil Nadu”, he said, according
to a Raj Bhavan communique.
”These festivals mark the beginning of traditional New A year and reflect the composite culture and rich heritage
of our country”, Mr. Purohit said. ”May these festivals bring prosperity and happiness in our lives”, he added. ”On this happy occasion, let us resolve to promote our rich heritage, culture, and tradition and join hands to build a prosperous India”, the Governor said and urged. the people, to keep in mind the present Corona pandemic situation and celebrate the festival by following the guidelines issued by the Central and State Governments. ”Stay at home and stay safe”, he said.
