Chennai, April 12: As the tenure of state-owned Anna University Vie-Chancellor (VC) Dr. M K Surappa ended
yesterday, the Tamil Nadu Government today constituted a three-member committee to run the affairs till a new
VC is appointed.
A release from the University Registrar’s Office said as the tenure of Dr. Surappa ended yesterday, the Higher Education Department Secretary convened a special syndicate meeting today and decided to constitute the committee to perform the duties of the VC till a new VC is appointed. Higher Education Secretary Ms. Apoorva will be the Convener of the Committee, while Additional Chief Secretary Information Technology Department Secretary Hans Raj Verma and Chairperson of Information and Communication Engineering, College of Engineering, Guindy Campus, Anna University Prof Ranjani Parthasarathi will be the members.
