Aurangabad/Mumbai, April 20:Maharashtra Transport Minister Anil Parab on Tuesday took stock of the restrictions imposed by the state government to break the chain of corona contamination in the state and the sanugrah grant announced by the state government to the rickshaw license holders in the state.
Under the chairmanship of Adv Parab, a meeting was held at the Ministry with the representatives of rickshaw associations in Mumbai and officials of the Transport Department.
There are 7,15,000 rickshaw license holders in the state and they will be given a total sanugrah grant of Rs 107 crore at the rate of Rs 1500 to each.
The issue of depositing the amount directly online in the bank accounts of the concerned was discussed in today’s meeting.
For this, an online system is being developed by the Department of Transport in which licensed rickshaw driver will have to register their Aadhar number, vehicle number and license number online and once confirmed, the amount will be credited online to the bank account linked to the Aadhar number.
The information of this system will be published on the website of the department www.transport.maharashtra.gov.in.
For this, the bank account of the rickshaw license holder needs to be linked to the Aadhar number.(UNI)
