Thane, April 18: Covid cases are continued to surge in the Thane district, as 5275 new cases were surfaced in the last 24 hours, taking a tally to 4,11,368, the official said on Sunday.

While 36 death cases in the last 24 hours, the total number of death cases has reached 6,900.

The mortality rate was 1.68 percent, he added.

In the neighboring Palghar district, the COVID-19 case count has gone up to 65,847 while the death toll was 1,301 he said. (UNI)
