Bhopal, Jan 11 : The novel coronavirus is surging in Madhya Pradesh where 3,160 fresh infections were reported Today  following analysis of 79,051 samples thus taking the number of active cases to 11,265.
The death toll is 10,539.

A Health Services Directorate bulletin issued tonight said that the infected tally reads 8,06,803 including 7,84,999 individuals who recuperated; 493 of them on this day. The district-wise break-up of new sufferers includes Indore 984 (the highest); Bhopal 562; Gwalior 298; Jabalpur 242; Sagar 152; Ujjain 124; Damoh 98; Betul 62; Chhatarpur 53; Dhar 52; Ratlam and Tikamgarh 43 each; Khargone 40; Khandwa 35; Vidisha 33; Datia 30; Hoshangabad and Morena 24 each; Shahdol 23; Katni 22; Rewa 20; Umaria 19; Anuppur 17; Burhanpur 15; Satna 12; Raisen, Rajgarh, Seoni and Shivpuri 11 each; Chhindwara and Bhind ten each; Agar-Malwa, Balghat and Neemuch nine each.(UNI)
