130 more COVID-19 cases in MP

Bhopal, July 10 : Driving home the point that the novel coronavirus still constitutes a clear and present danger on the health front, 130 fresh instances of infection were reported on Sunday in Madhya Pradesh on analysis of 6,652 samples.
Though no new fatality occurred, the contagion has snuffed out 10,745 lives since commencement of the pandemic. The number of active cases is 807 and climbing while the positivity is 1.9 per cent.
A Health Services Directorate bulletin issued tonight revealed that the state’s commercial capital Indore had the dubious distinction of spawning the highest 58 latest sufferers, followed by Bhopal 37; Jabalpur 10; Gwalior, Narmadapuram and Narsinghpur 4 each; Sehore 3; Ratlam, Balaghat and Khandwa 2 each; Sagar, Vidisha, Betul and Katni 1 each. The infected tally thus touched 10,45,532 but that figure includes 10,33,980 recoveries of which 111 occurred on this day. With 2,543 more vaccine doses being administered, the cumulative inoculation rose to 12,08,03,026.(UNI)
