10th Edition of Hyderabad Marathon 2021 on Dec 19
Hyderabad, Dec 15 : About 8,000 participants will take part in the annual event of 10th Edition of Hyderabad Marathon 2021, organised by Hyderabad Runners Society and Bharati Airtel in association with Telangana government on December 19.
Announcing this at a press conference, after unveiling the medals here, Race Director Prashant Morparia, flanked by Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar and Bharti Airtel Limited CEO Andhra Pradesh & Telangana Avneet Singh Puri, said that Hyderabad Marathon, one of the most popular and highly rated marathons in India, returns for the 10th year.
Runners, health & fitness enthusiasts, volunteers, medical personnel, city officials and police will come together and participate in the 10K, Half Marathon (21.095 km) & Full Marathon (42.195 km), the Director said.
Mr Prashant said that the full and half marathon will start from People Plaza, Necklace Road to Gachibowli Stadium via Raj Bhavan Road, KBR Park, Jubilee Hills Road No 45 and Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge, Biodiversity Junction.
He said the 10K Run will start from Hitex Grounds and will merge with the Half and Full Marathon route near IKEA Circle and will finish at Gachibowli Stadium.
Full Marathon will be flagged-off at 0500 hours and Half Marathon at 0600 hours (from People Plaza, Necklace Road) & 10K Run at 0700 hours from Hitex, Madhapur.
Stating that Covid-19 vaccination certificate of (both doses) or RT-PCR Negative report is required to participate in the Marathon, Mr Prashant said CARE Hospital will extend medical facilities to the participants in the entire route.
Mr Anjani Kumar assured to extend all possible help to the Marathon and asked the Corporates to extend their support to it.
He also appealed to the participants to follow Covid-19 protocol during the marathon.(UNI)
